for businesses with a service area

somebody nearby asks who to call. is it you?

People used to search and scroll a map. Now many of them ask, and get three names back. Being one of the three is the whole thing.

No account, no card. Usually under ten minutes.

You serve customers in a place, most of your work comes from being found, and you want to know whether the assistants people now ask are sending anyone your way.

the questions

what your buyer actually types

These are the shape of the questions we ask on your behalf. You never write them: a set is drawn from a shared library for your category, and on the higher plans a set is written specifically for you.

  • Who is the best plumber near me?

  • Which dentist in Austin takes new patients?

  • What is a good family lawyer in Denver?

  • Best coffee shop within walking distance downtown

  • Which HVAC company should I call for an emergency repair?

Each question is asked repeatedly rather than once. Two identical runs minutes apart agree on only 36% of the brands they name, so a single answer is one draw and not a measurement.

why it matters here

what is actually at stake

Three names, not ten listings

A map used to show a dozen options and let somebody choose. An assistant gives two or three and says why. For a business that lives on being found, that is the difference between competing and not appearing.

What it says about you may be old

Assistants state hours, service areas and specialisms from whatever they read. Measuring the answer is often how a business discovers it is being described with a service it stopped offering, or an area it no longer covers.

The bar is low, so the win is cheap

Most local competitors are not looking at this at all. That will not be true forever, and it is unusually easy to be the one in a local category who noticed first.

questions

the things people ask us before they start

How do I know if AI recommends my local business?
Ask the question a customer would ask, in your market, more than once. unbound geo repeats each question and reports how often you were named and who else was, with the answer text and cited sources attached. The free scan covers five questions on ChatGPT with no card and no account.
Is this the same as Google Business Profile?
No. That controls a listing inside Google’s own surfaces. This measures what a general-purpose assistant says when somebody asks for a recommendation, which draws on different sources and can disagree with your listing entirely. Keeping the listing accurate is still worth doing; it is just not the same question.
How much does it cost for a small business?
The scan is free with no card. Local is 19 USD a month for 10 questions tracked on ChatGPT and Gemini on a schedule, plus weekly rank tracking and the answer box. The per-call provider costs behind those prices are published on the pricing page.
where to start

The scan is free and needs no account. Most companies like yours start on Local, at 19 USD a month, and the per-call provider costs behind every price are published.

what it does not do

Answers vary by person and place and we cannot reproduce what a specific customer sees on their phone. We measure the same way every time from a clean position, which makes two of our runs comparable to each other. That is a real measurement and it is not a screenshot of somebody else’s screen.

are you in the answer?

Five real questions against a live answer engine with web search on, each asked ten times. That is fifty real calls, so the report lands in under ten minutes rather than while you wait. You see every question before anything runs, and you get the answer text, who got named and the sources the engine read, not a score.
